VPN auto renewal: where the cost hides

The first payment is what the banner shows. The second is what the contract was built around.

The trap in one paragraph

Auto renewal means that when your paid period ends, the seller charges you again for another period, without asking. That is convenient when you want the service for years. It is costly when you forgot, when the second price is higher than the first, or when the card is stored and the reminder email lands in spam.

How to find out what you are agreeing to

  1. Open the order page and look for words such as "renews", "recurring" or "billed every".

  2. Find the price for the second period. It may sit in small print, below the button.

  3. Find out whether a reminder is sent before the charge and how many days before.

  4. Find where to cancel and whether it needs a login, a form or a message to support.

  5. Check whether the box for automatic renewal is already ticked for you.

  6. Save a screenshot of the terms you saw on the day you paid.

Why the cheap first term makes it worse

A long plan with bonus months looks small per month. If it renews at the same long length, the next payment arrives in one lump after two or three years, when you may have forgotten you ever signed up. Consider also that a plan renewed on a stored card does not ask you any question at all: the only moment of decision was the first one.

Compare the two periods side by side before you pay: price today per month, price at renewal per month. If the second figure is not stated, treat that as a reason to look elsewhere.

What Indian rules say about subscription traps

India's consumer regulator, the Central Consumer Protection Authority, published guidelines on dark patterns that took effect on 30 November 2023. A subscription trap, such as making cancellation difficult or confusing, appears in that list as a practice to avoid. We cite it as background, not as legal advice, and a summary from a law firm is no substitute for the notification text.

How our plans are built

Nothing renews automatically. Each period is paid by you in the Telegram bot in cryptocurrency, and when the period ends the service stops until you pay again. There is no stored card, because cards and UPI are not accepted, and no account that could hold one. That gives you control, with one cost: you need to remember to pay when you want to carry on.

You get 10 free days, delivered as a link by the bot, and starting them commits you to nothing.

How this page was made, and why you can check it

We sell a VPN, and a seller warning you about renewals has a reason to flatter its own approach; everything above is therefore phrased as things to look for on any order page. If you want to know how the page came about, the first version was written with an AI model, and someone on the team went through every claim about our plans before it went up.

Laws on consumer subscriptions and on VPN use differ by country and get amended, so the rules that apply to you are the ones in your own jurisdiction.

Questions

Is automatic renewal always bad?
Our reply

No. It suits someone who plans to keep a service for a long time and has read the second price. The problem is renewal that is hidden or priced differently.

How can I stop an unwanted renewal?
Our reply

Cancel in the way the seller describes, before the date on which the new period starts, and keep proof that you did. Where a seller makes this hard, note it for a complaint.

Do you store my card?
Our reply

We take no cards. Payment is in cryptocurrency in the bot, and there is no account.

What happens at the end of my plan with you?
Our reply

The access period ends. To continue, you pay for a new one in the bot.

Should I pick the shortest term to be safe?
Our reply

A short term limits what you can lose, though each month then costs more. Choose by how long you expect to use the service.

Can I get a reminder from you before the period ends?
Our reply

This page makes no promise about reminders, so ask the bot what it sends.

Test the link first, pay later

The Telegram bot sends your personal link in about a minute. You need no account and no card for it.
