Quick test before you buy
- If YouTube opens and plays on your connection, you do not need a VPN for it.
- If a school, office or hostel network blocks it, check the network's rules first.
- If you want privacy on public Wi-Fi, a VPN helps, whatever you watch.
- If you want a cheaper subscription from another country, read the terms first; it can break them.
- If videos buffer on a weak signal, a tunnel does not add speed.
What a VPN can and cannot do for video
A tunnel hides your viewing from the local network owner, such as a cafe or a hostel, and shows the video site the address of our server. It does not make the video file arrive faster. A tunnel adds a step in the path, so a clean line can get slightly slower, and we publish no speed figures to quantify that. If you buy a plan hoping for HD on a weak mobile signal, you will probably be disappointed.
Before paying, run a simple test: play a video on your normal connection, then on mobile data, and compare. If playback is the same on both, the weak point is the signal or your own plan, not the address a site sees. A tunnel changes only the address, and the free trial is there to confirm that on your own line.
The sale-price question
If you are tempted by an offer in Black Friday week, read its details: is the price per month or a total, what does it cost to renew, and is renewal automatic? A very low monthly figure with a very large first payment can cost more than a plan you pay for one month at a time. We have no deal on 27 November or 30 November. The four plans cost the same all year, they are in the bot, and nothing renews on its own.
Regions, accounts and rules
Some articles suggest using a server in another country to see videos that are not offered where you live or to buy a subscription at a lower price. We do not promise that, and we advise against it: rights holders and the platform restrict it, and your account may be affected. Our locations are Amsterdam, Milan, Lisbon, Dubai and Kuala Lumpur, which means an Indian address is not part of the deal either. Whether a platform accepts a given connection is set in the platform's own terms.
Disclosure
As the seller of a plan, we have an interest, so the cheapest advice here is the one that costs nothing: test first. An AI tool drafted parts of this page, and a person confirmed the service behaviour described here. The free period is 10 days and the bot issues the link, so a trial costs nothing but time.
Questions
Does a VPN stop ads on YouTube?
No. Ads come from the platform, and a tunnel does not remove them.
Will it unblock videos that the uploader has restricted in my country?
That is not something we put in writing. Restrictions come from rights holders and the platform.
Is it safe to watch on public Wi-Fi with a VPN?
It keeps the Wi-Fi owner from seeing what you watch, but it does not protect an account with a weak password.
Which server should I choose for video?
We have no measured ranking. Try the five servers and keep the one that plays best on your line.
Does the plan renew by itself after the trial?
No. Each paid period is paid in the bot.
